Camp Ernst is Greater Cincinnati’s favorite overnight camp. Our programs (for kids ages 6-15) combine safety, creativity, and good clean fun, and include horseback riding, nature, hiking, archery,  crafts, swimming, boating, waterslides, high ropes course, sports, leadership activities, teambuilding, confidence-building, friend-making, and so much more.

We strive to promote positive character values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility in young people through the healthy development of spirit, mind, body, and friendship.  Summer 2023 applications ARE OPEN!

 

E-Team (Rising Juniors In High School)

Eteam Archery

Rising Juniors in High School are eligible to be a part of our E-team Program. E-team members are responsible for running the camp activities under the supervision of their Unit Leader. E-teamers will be assigned to an activity team, which includes the General Activities Team, Lifeguard Team, Ranch Team, and Ropes Team, for their two-week session.  E-team members may also apply for a teen internship position in aquatics, media, and office.

E-team members who are 16 or older earn a stipend of $180 per one-week session.  E-team lifeguards earn a stipend of $250 per one-week session.  E-teamers who will not be 16 can still participate but will earn 40 community service hours per one-week session.

  4. If accepted for an interview, submit your references (this will be emailed to you after your application has been processed).

Junior Counselor (Rising Seniors in High School)

Rising Seniors in High School are eligible to be a part of our Junior Counselor team. Junior counselors, scheduled for a three-week session, will be assigned to a cabin and under the guidance of their cabin counselor and junior counselor leader, will learn the important skills needed to be a successful camp counselor. Junior Counselor positions include Junior Cabin Counselor, Ranch Junior Counselor, and Junior Counselor Internships.

Junior Counselors earn a stipend of $220 per one-week session.

Cabin Counselor (Rising Freshman In College And Older)

Rising Freshman in college and older are eligible to be a part of our Cabin Counselor team. Cabin counselors are responsible for leading the cabin group of campers through a successful camp week.

Counselors who are 18 and older receive a stipend of $520 per 1-week session.

Ranch Staff (Rising Freshman In College And Older)

Rising Freshman in College and older are eligible to be a part of our Ranch team. Ranch staff will counsel ranch camp campers and others through a successful camp week and assist in the care and instruction of ranch programs.

Ranch staff who are 18 and older receive a stipend of $520 per 1-week session.

Interns/ Program Support Staff (18 and Older)

18 and Older applicants are eligible to apply for an internship or Program Support Role. Various  positions are available, including Media and Office Intern, Ropes and Lifeguard Staff, Mountain Biking and more.  These staff are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating various aspects of the camp program and operation. Internships can be customized to meet the requirements of your major.

Part time and full week opportunities are available.  Certain roles do not require the employee to stay the night.

Staff who are 18 and older receive a stipend of $520 per 1-week session for overnight or $13 per hour for commuters.

Leadership Staff (Rising Sophomores In College And Older)

Rising Sophomores in college and older are eligible to apply for a leadership position. Leadership staff are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating various aspects of the camp program and operation. Various Leadership positions are available, including Unit Director and Specialist Roles. Some roles require applicant to be 21 or older.

Leadership staff pay starts at $520 per 1-week session.

Nurses and Cooks

Camp Nurses- Qualified adults are welcome to apply for this seasonal summer position. Week-long, Sunday, and weekend dates are available. Nurses must have a current RN license in the state of KY before the start of their time working at camp.

Camp Cooks- Qualified adults are welcome to apply for this season’s summer position. Morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts available.  Camp cook pay is $13/hour.
