What is the Junior Counselor Program?

Rising Seniors in High School are eligible to be a part of our Junior Counselor Program.

Junior Counselors, also called JCs, live in and assist a camper cabin under the supervision of their Cabin Counselors, Unit Directors, and JC Unit Leader.  Junior Counselors will complete trainings and have hands on experience to help them learn the necessary skills to be a cabin counselor.  Junior Counselors are assigned to a three-week overnight session.

Ranch Junior Counselors will live in and assist with a cabin and will also spend a large portion of their day at the barn learning the necessary skills to be a ranch staff member.  They are supervised by their cabin counselors, ranch unit director, and JC Unit Leader during their three-week session.

Rising Seniors in high school also have the opportunity to apply for a teen internship.  This two-week session gives teens the opportunity to see and work in the behind the scenes part of camp.

All Junior Counselor positions are paid.
