We’ve had a great start to the new year!
Our property team has a big list ahead of them, and lots of work already done, including:
- Cabin 1 ready to re-roof
- Expanded horse pasture
- Day Camp/Ropes Course area bathroom 50% complete
Our registrar (Jeannie) has been processing fee assistance applications and answering lots of camp questions. Text or call if you need anything!
Kara (summer staff) is home from college this month and has been working on loading up the online camp store with new merch for summer.
Megan and Olive (our winter intern) have already hired 188 summer staff–that’s almost half of the number we’ll need to help run camp this summer. And by the next newsletter, we will have hired a new fulltime/year-round teen program director!
Kristi and Carlee have their hands full at the barn–together with our dedicated barn volunteers they are keeping the horses happily fed until lessons and spring programs start up again in a couple months!
Javi spent a month visiting family in Mexico and is back now– scrubbing and painting and re-organizing in the kitchens.
And our camp board met this past weekend for a planning retreat and is looking to build a centennial committee ahead of camp’s 100th anniversary in 2028…let me know if you want to be part of history!
