For Ages 6-15

WEEK LONG SESSIONS

Boys and girls, ages 6 to 15, enjoy week long overnight sessions from Sunday until Saturday during June, July, and the first week of August.  Campers stay in cabins with top notch counselors and enjoy all the fun activities Camp Ernst has to offer, including the lake, ropes course and traditional camp activities.

Week 1: Camper Choice- NEON- You decided, the week one theme is NEON!  Grab your brightest clothing items and join us for a wacky week!

Week 2: Out of this World-  Spaceships, aliens, and stars, oh my!  Think all things space as we embark on adventure that is out of this world!

Week 3: Birthday Bash-  Who doesn’t love a birthday party!?  We will celebrate everyone’s birthday, including camp, because we are turning 90 years old this summer!

Week 4: Party in the USA- Fourth of July-  We’ll start this week off with a bang!  Wear your best red, white, and blue as we celebrate the fourth of July with fireworks, a parade, and much more camp fun!

Week 5: Around the World- International-  Pick your favorite country to represent and join us as we celebrate our heritage and the homes of our many international counselors.

Week 6: Once Upon a Time- Dress up as your favorite character from a book or movie, as we go on a journey as far as your imagination can take you.

Week 7: Christmas in July- Dust off your Santa hats and jingle bells for a party rockin around the shade tree.

Week 8: Blast from the Past- Grab an outfit from your favorite decade, because this week we are going back in time!

Week 9: (Camp Corral) Superhero- Put on your cape (or towel) as we suit up for a week full of camp adventure.

 

 

CAMPER PROGRAMS

Campers are divided into units based on the grade level they will enter in the Fall.  Each camper will be assigned a cabin with 10-12 other campers and two counselors, with whom they will participate in camp activities.

 
Lakeview Campers
(typically grades 1-4)

The Lakeview program is specifically designed for our youngest campers.  Campers live in Lakeview Lodge which has all the camp amenities under one roof.  Lakeview campers get to participate in all of the typical camp activities like the zipline, the banana boat, archery, arts and crafts, sports, and more.  They travel through camp with their cabinmates and fun camp counselors.  Lakeview also has many special traditions which add a lot of fun, wacky twists to each day, including  Monday Night Maddness, the Word of the Day, and Wheel of Wonder.

 

 
Valley Campers
(typically grades 5-7)

The valley camp is divided into red and yellow units (based on grade level) and campers live in traditional summer cabins and eat meals in the historic dining hall.  Valley campers build friendships while participating in camp activities such as the ropes course, lakefront, and other traditional camp activities.  Campers and Counselors alike take great pride in the valley, where every meal is a party and each day is packed full of fun.  Valley campers enjoy traditions like Girls Night Out(side) and Dudes Dogs and Dodgeball, an evening of cookouts, dodgeball, and s’mores. 

 

The Leaders in Training (LITS)
(typically grades 8, 9, & 10)

The leaders in training program or L.I.T.s, is specifically designed for our oldest campers.  Leaders in training live in the Loft and Longhouse, cabins designed specially to foster community in the Leadership Village.  In addition to the traditional camp activities, campers also participate in leadership rotations that are focused around team building, communication, role modeling, and problem solving.  LITs enjoy traditions like a Tuesday cookout, Pizza making and dodgeball, LIT/Lakeview Day, service projects, and the LIT favorite, the After-Party.
